WoW Gold Farms Challenged in Court
CVNToday.com - Many players of World of Warcraft - the immensely popular online game - claim the game is being ruined by the practice of selling “virtual gold". One group has even filed a lawsuit aiming to ban the sale of virtual gold, claiming it hurts the game for millions of players and degrades the experience.
World of Warcraft has more than 10 million players world wide, and for many it is serious business. Some spend as many as 8 or 10 hours a day playing the game.
WoW has also spawned a lucrative money making scheme called “gold farming” based on the fact that players can earn what is called WoW gold to increase their player’s ability and skill level. A player can actually buy Wow gold from someone else and thereby avoid having to earn it.
